ABOUT ME
My family moved to Saint Marc, Haiti when I was 6 months old to plant a Youth With A Mission (YWAM) campus. YWAM is a non-profit missionary movement focusing on young people wanting to know God and make Him known. I grew up on this mission field always wanting to help. I recieved an American education through a private school until it closed down when I turned 10. I took up the responsibilities of a homeschooler after that. At thirteen I started learning video and realized this was a big need on the mission field, and something I could do. At fifteen, my dad Terry Snow had made strong ties with the local TV station by broadcasting Christian messages on Friday primetime. I learned to film and publish DVD's for his program, and received a Dynasty TV Press badge. After a few years, I started filming and editing on my own until bit by bit, I became the producer of this simple but popular program. Every day after homeschooling I would work on broadcasting encouraging messages, sermons, sketches, and news of our organization. People were engaged and YWAM earned influence in the city. Sometimes the TV station would be flooded with phone calls by viewers wanting to watch our program again.
After graduating from school in 2011, I took the 6 month Discipleship Training School. After asking God what to do next, I felt I was to invest in the TV program. I needed training & experience. The School of Digital Filmaking course by University of the Nations had already started, so I waited till next year. In the meantime, I went ahead and re-modeled the YWAM program, calling it "Bon Fwi" and making it into what it looks like today. I Investing all my time creating content for it and media content for the YWAM campus. I used the help of volunteers and a hired cameraman and editor, with re-runs passing when I was not available. The viewers loved it, and many became instant fans. The city had never seen anything like it, and they wanted more.
The next year I took the School of Digital Filmmaking and returned to Haiti excited with the knowledge I now had, but burned out from years of hard work. I wasn't able to run as fast as I used to, but I've learned now that's pretty normal. Over the course of the years I started collecting equipment as I continued to creating content for the show, and the YWAM campus. I raised enough money to get a Canon 60D DSLR and some basic audio recording, camera movement, & lighting equipment. I would later get a state-of-the-art lapotop, and through Techsoup get 2 licenses of Adobe's Creative Suite 6. I started producing content with it, and the results were fantastic. For the first time, I could succesfully chroma-key out a greenscreen. I could capture beautiful focus shots and create smooth camera panning. To practice some of these skills, I made the music video "Misye Ale". But there was a problem. I couldn't run all this equipment on my own. I needed a serious team.
I have now started a applying my knowledge and experience to form Bon Fwi's own Cine-Club. It's a simple film club that meets 2x a month to connect and learn filmmaking, but it's purposes are profound. There are lots of filmmakers in Haiti, but a quick look shows their misplaced motives. Cine-Club serves as a rallying point for all Christian filmmakers who want to see change happen in their city. There is only one film school in all of Haiti, and it's far away in the south. Cine-Club will be a place to learn film for those who can handle it responsibly, so that they can be sent out to bring change to their nation.

Biography
Hi! I'm Kristian Snow, and I'm a media missionary in Haiti.
We all know Haiti for it's poverty, voodoo and brokenness but the thing is: I grew up here. My whole family has grown up here in missions and we see what could be a much different country. We live specifically in Saint Marc, a city of 120,000 people that served as the dividing line for the civil war in 2004. That's a story for another time! My father helped found a Youth With A Mission campus in Haiti 20+ years ago, and his 6 kids are leading minstries in areas of dance, worship, discipleship training, and - you guessed it - media.
NONE of us have a day job. We are missionaries. Partners who believe in what we do support us financially. You or your church can!
So what do I do? I run media communications for our YWAM campus, and I run a popular TV show called "Bon Fwi" in our city. When I say media communications, it means I manage the website and produce video content for partners & teams so they can connect with our mission feild. This is how most people find out about YWAM. The TV program is my personal ministry, and it's been showing remarkable effectiveness. It's a 30 minute primetime program that airs every night on the most popular TV station in our city, playing Christian content I have produced over the years. This includes messages, stories, music videos, and sometimes a couple of funny talking fruit. I am still looking for partners!
You don't have to be in missions to be a missionary. I need financial partners who believe in what I do! Do you want to partner with my financially?
