Skills

With the non-stop evolution of technology, a filmmaker must focus on learning fast and hands on to stay on par with the latest tech trends. These are my skill sets which I've learned on the job, and every day I continue to improve upon them. Perhaps you might find them useful.

Editing is composing all the shots to communicate the story. It's about organizing footage, creating juxtaposition, color correcting & toning, and discovering new ways to tell the story. Films can be saved or re-made in the editing room.

Experienced with Vegas Movie Studio, Adobe Premiere, After Effects and familiar with Final Cut Pro.

Videography is understanding the camera and working it to artistic advantage in a moments notice. This means combining head knowledge, creative thinking and initiative to step in and take the shot when it is conceptualized.

Experienced in the fundamentals of lenses, composition, movement & more. Lots of feild experience in different enviroments with Canon 60D & 5D.

Assistant Directing is scheduling & planning. The assistant should know the film so well that if the director dropped dead, (s)he could finish the movie. It takes intense organizational skills as well as initiative and positive attitude.

Experienced in assistant directing several short films during the School of Digital Filmmaking at University of the Nations.

Digital Graphic Art is the medium for so much of art today. Anything visual from logos to storyboards or animations require someone experienced with creative software and constantly up-to-date with it.

Experienced with Adobe's entire CS6 Creative Suite. Familiar with Blender 3D and animation. Watch this 3D Home of Hope Model for an example.

Directing is about knowing your vision, knowing how to transfer it to the team, and never giving up till it's realized. The director must be able to speak the language of acting, lead without micro-managing, and never ever give up.

Directed dozens of short films, music videos, & news pieces. Visit the media page for examples

Storyboarding takes imagination, patience and focus. Sometimes it's not enough to create a shotlist! While a picture communicates a thousand words, a storyboard saves the director from communicating a thousand times

Drawing is my hobby, and I've storyboarded a few of my short films. Visit the gallery for examples of my artwork.
