Some Cool Projects
The mayor of Saint Marc is Jean Marie, and he's a pretty awesome guy. I walked into city hall, and asked who I needed to talk to for an appointment with him to create a television promotion of the city park. USAID recently re-vamped our city park with a playground, lush gardens, and a restored fountain. YWAM has always taken care of the park, and once again we wanted to step in and continue to disicple the park visitors that it is their responsibility for taking care of it. After someone politely did the knocking on the mayor's office door for me (I was too hesitant), they let me in. He was in a meeting with other fellows, but wanted to hear what I had to say. This former cab driver listened as I shared about the promotion, and we quickly settled a date to get an interview with him sharing words about the new park. Isn't that awesome?

Eyes of a Christian Filmmaker
A few weeks ago, I produced a short documentary about myself for my home church of ECC (Ephrata Community Church). Ever since taking the School of Digital FIlmmaking, I've been seeking to uncover a lot of the questions in my heart that create blockages in filmmaking. A few examples; where's the line between entertainment & propaganda? How do you preach without being directive? Am I making it for my pleasure, or God's? What if I become lazy and uncreative because I'm too focused on trying to hear God's voice? In tackling these questions, I learned that the answer is very simple but hard to walk out- have faith that your relationship with God will create the art that draws people in. I urge you to watch the video, and share it too! (you can copy and paste this link: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIHiFpnAgXo)
Yokes & Chains Reporter
This November, I will be putting on the Grassroots News reporter uniform and capture an event that might cause a stir throughout Haiti. It's called "Yokes & Chains" led by Lifeline Expeditions and it's about asking forgiveness for the slave trade (vimeo.com/35436554) They've visited many key slave-trading locations throughout the world, and recieved many different reactions. As a third party, I've been asked to document their trip to Haiti in order to help complete the documentary of this event. It's going to be an intense, 15 day trip that includes visits to places I've always wanted to see and film in Haiti. There are very worrisome concerns on how Haitians will respond given their violent history, and as a reporter that puts me in a dangerous position too. The info manual sent to me lists as one of the first things to find some intercessors to cover me during that time. Do you want to intercede for me? I need intercession from November 15th - November 30th. Below is a list of things to please pray & intercede for:
1. Divine appointments with people who can share on camera
2. Protection from those who hate what is happening and looking for a target.
3. That I will constantly be capturing truth, and not slant towards the opinions of any groups.
4. That I will be able to be diligent enough to film quality footage.
5. That at the end of the day, I will be able to relax and recharge for the next!
Please Pray
I need to ask for special prayer support this month. I am exhausted from editing videos day after day, with mental stress that doesn't relax until bedtime. My calendar is full all the way up to this Yokes & Chains event and though I'm game to tackle it, I'm also mentally exhausted. Taking time off helps very little, and my work is my fun so their is nothing to do on my time off. I have been managing to get by daily, but once I hit the ground running for this report on the Yokes & Chains event I'm afraid I'll eventually burn out. So please keep me in prayer!
